Podcast Delivers Facts on “Super Bug,” Discusses Environmental Testing

MRSA is a strain of "Staph" bacteria that is of increasing concern to healthcare officials. It does not respond to commonly used antibiotics. Recent estimates of deaths due to community-acquired MRSA are alarming.
Shelton has directed numerous high-profile investigations, including those involving E. coli, environmental Mycobacterium, Legionnaires’ disease, and Norovirus. In his work, Shelton was the first to show an association between Legionella concentrations and risk of disease.
